I don't think there's any law preventing black Americans from buying and keeping guns, is there?

I think what stops blacks from lining up at gun shops and gun shows is plain common sense.

Every black American is only too aware of the reaction of White America to a black (any black) with a gun. If he isn't wearing a cop uniform, he must be a drug dealer or a gang member.

Having a gun increases the chance of being shot for a black citizen, yet if in the course of being mugged, he uses his gun to defend himself, he is likely to be the one jailed.

Think Zimmerman v. Trayvon Martin. Martin was unarmed and dead and Zimmerman wasn't even arrested until the public outcry forced the Florida authorities' hand.
