Dunno why I am reminded of Smokey. He was apeshit. I was at a friends house. She was cooking and I was reading the newspaper. I had that feeling. I lowered the paper slightly. Smokey, who I knew wasn't quite sane, was getting ready and I knew what was gonna happen. I raised the paper. Right hand off the paper. I heard the claws in the carpet, I whipped the paper to my left with my left hand, and caught Smokey in mid flight GENTLY with my right hand and lifted him over me so he could enjoy the rest of his flight.

He yowled when he hit the wall. More from being embarrassed than smacking the wall at speed. "She" ran in and freaked out. I explained what had taken place and said I would be more than happy to take care of Smokey (it had attacked her and some of her neighbours over the previous month... clawing for NO reason). She was aghast. "Smokey is a gooood kitty, yes he is." whilst petting him.

I said, "I gotta do something in my truck." and exited. I did. I drove away. Strange pussy like that is not to be tolerated.
