I got the k warm enough, via the open oven, to have a place to get warm. Managed to do 3 loads of laundry by filling tub with HOT water and letting it cool enough to put the clothes in. The extra heat warmed up the laundry room to a tolerable level. With a warm kitchen, I washed dishes and made black bean soup. Grateful for mug warmer next to chair. Did not go outside. R had to use my car to boost his truck this morning. another few days of this until more reasonable sub-freezing weather next week.

But I am going to country tomorrow and getting that wood stove humming! Will be nice to be in a warm house. I have no trouble relating to wood stove - the necessity of regular feedings - since it was my life for about 17 years and I love the heat it provides.
