Just be advised that one shouldn't rely on such for anymore that a light source with one a them there new fangled light bulbs and powering a PC to check with your power company on the net about the expected end to the power outage. I have five of them so I can keep Mum's TV on for 6 hours, a light for her on for two days and I can check on the outage at one hour intervals for two days. In hot or cold weather, I fire up the genie after 6 hours to heat or cool her house. Me... I have a wood stove to keep the pipes from freezing and have enough wood to do that for 4 months. And, I have a maple tree in my back yard and two bucksaws in my garage. I also have dog treats... my neighbour's dog is a small dog, but he'll do in a pinch.
