Yesterday I was busy watching the snow fall, so I come here this morning and find amusement in the title - ---"...for New England". Well, Gnu and Sandy and I are not in New England. The world does not stop at that political border! My Canadian Tire booster lives in my car at all times and ... Picture me amused by the insular thinking of some of those south of the border. Even the term Northeast would not have sufficed. Ontario was in the thick of it also. Ah! I phoned a friend whom I can never reach - in 3 years I have had wonderful conversations with her husband. Hah! She was home because she could not go anywhere! A positive result of the storm!!

And I know you will excuse me for not going all the way back to the beginning to see if this geographical issue was already a comment...

Our music was cancelled last night, down in Ormstown, Quebec. And getting out of Montreal was too much of a horror for R to contemplate. The good news was our wonderful neighbour who comes and plows our driveway, gratis! I call him the "snow fairy". Good neighbours are such a gift!

The world is beautifully white this morning, and chilly. But I am cosy in the cabin and hoping R gets down in time to pay for the stove wood to be delivered this afternoon!
