Even casual users didn't need threads for that, but if you use Google search (for images?) it's a lot harder now. Previously the default was to set "safe search" that imposed a nanny filter and prevented display of many of the ruder (T & A ?) results. You could go into settings and turn off the safe settings, which was often required to get medical information about "sensitive bits," even in the "scholar search" mode.

The option to turn off the nanny filter has disappeared in recent Google toolbar versions, and the filter has become even more restrictive, so we all must settle for results that Google finds appropriate for the kiddies. (But based on what they do still show I'd go elsewhere to find a baby sitter if I had small kids.)
