Wouldn't it be nice to be able to have an intelligent debate on Mudcat -like when I first joined- without foul-mouthed, narrow-minded abusive posts from those who feel they have to comment on every topic even when they know next to nothing about it?

I am no apologist for the Pope or for the Catholic church, but the resignation and succession have great relevance for many, worldwide- and as such I find it interesting.

If you have nothing constructive to add to the discussion, perhaps you could go and chat somewhere else please?
