Nigel Parsons reminds us that the pledge of allegience contains the following words:

"I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all"

Any reference to God - an invention of primitive man - does not belong in state schools or political assemblies!!
