Mullingar must be one of the best Irish emigration songs I've ever heard, to have written this, and perhaps the most famous Irish comedy song The Sick Note, says a lot about the songwriting talent of Pat Cooksey. I'm told he lives, and still plays in Germany, still writing excellent songs.
