You might want an optional chorus for the group that were put on a bus when they got off the boat, to take them from Mobile to New Orleans - and the bus broke down. (Just one more "Oh Shit" for when you need a little extra.)

Passengers (some of them) have heaped lavish praise on the crew for "how hard they worked" to try to keep people as happy as they could, so a song from the other side about "heroic maids and bus boys doing what we could" might also be a hit, if you can find enough material in the interview reports.
