Yeehah! Oil just came. Now I can turn the heat up higher than 60°F (16C for my non-US friends) and take a long-needed shower and hairwash. Then I can go to the hospital for the first time since Wednesday morning. I'll take along Richardson Wright's 1943 book "Bed-Book of Eating and Drinking" from which I've been reading aloud to Tom in the evening (before this hospital visit). He's looking forward to it (and to seeing me!).

Tyler, I, too, have an AWD Subaru -- I've had no problem with the driveway whatsoever. Only Jeri and the oil delivery guy have had problems... I'm well set for supplies. etc. A little short on sanity, perhaps. Not sure where you can get that... A bit of peace of mind, however, did arrive with the oil delivery.
