I'm posting this comment to make those who might be interested aware that I've published two posts on my Pancocojams cultural blog about the song "What You Gonna Do When The Rent Comes Round (Rufus Rastus Johnson Brown)".

Both of those Pancocojams post include information about a 1969 version of "Rufus Rastus..." that I wasn't aware of when I posted to this thread in 2007.

The first Pancocojams post includes my textual analysis of both songs. A sound file & lyrics of the original 1905 song, and a sound file & my transcription of that 1969 song are featured in the second Pancocojams post.
