I am reminded, somewhat driftingly, of a cartoon I enjoyed once, I think in Private Eye, of a pub with a sign saying "Ploughman's Lunch, £2.50", and the barman saying to disgruntled customer, "Well. that's what the ploughman has for lunch ~~ fish fingers & chips."
