Thread Name: Taylor 6 string, as new.
Subject: RE: Taylor 6 string, as new.
The combination of slotted headstock and 14 frets-to-the-neck-joint is a bit odd. Usually, slot-heads are 12-fret models. Obviously a custom instrument, which actually lends credence to the seller's claim to have won the guitar. Fundraising entities who raffle guitars often commission one-of-a-kind instruments.
Of course, a one-of-a-kind instrument can be a hassle to resell if you fall out of love with it down the road. If I had the money to buy that guitar and had Taylor fever, I'd lean toward a production model instead. But if I played that guitar and it really knocked my socks off, I'd buy it anyway.
