A city of 800,000, plunked down on the edge of the prairies, an hour's drive from the Rocky Mountains. Cattle ranching country to the west, wheat & canola farms to the east. Been here since 1974, and married into it. Grew up in Southern Ontario (Inglewood, near Orangeville), lived in Toronto in the '60s, spent most summers, and six years of residence, in Muskoka/Parry Sound (Kearney, my ancestral home, and Huntsville), before heading to the West.
