A recent research paper reported that the the analysts had very good success in determining your preferences about things with no apparent relationship to anything you (or your friends) posted on your Farcebook page.

(The method and results were not specific to F*book, but that was a major source for data that they used to test their theory.)

Assuming their research was valid, it's quite likely that they would be able to know things about you that you yourself never thought of, to predict what ads for things that look strange to you still have a high likelihood of getting a response.

Since these researchers only "extended" methods that many people believe are already in use by F*kbook and Google, there is the possibility that telling everyone what ads you receive could encourage others with more overt inclinations to assume (with some credibility) that you're one of them but you just don't know it (... yet ...).

(But we won't pry about which ads you've discreetly answered ... .)
