Thread Name: Ellie Daniels folk singer early 1970's
Subject: Ellie Daniels folk singer early 1970's
Has anyone heard of or familiar with an obscure female American folk singer called, Ellie Daniels? Was looking on Ebay recently and saw a listing for a folk singer with this name who had a very obscure album out around 1971 called, "Both Sides of the Coin." There was no actual album cover (picture) as it was released with a plain generic cover. I believe all songs were originals accept for maybe one cover which was "Don't Think Twice."
The album wound up selling for a whopping $337.00!!

So...I am curious if anyone might have ever heard of her or heard this album? There was one other musician on the album, a flute player by the name of Ellen Keevil. Sometimes it amazes me how much people can pay for an obscure album like this, especially if you have not heard of the person or their music. I have sometimes bought obscure folk albums over the years at record shops, etc. (different places) of artists that are rare and unknown, only to be disappointed - didn't like the album at all - but I only paid a very small amount of money, maybe up to $10.00 at the very most but usually just a few dollars so it was no big loss.
Of course on Ebay, the bidding might start low and then go very high for these obscure folk records and was the case with this record.
