A few years ago I bought a small wooden percussion instrument that I need to replace, but I don't know what it's called.

It was about 9 inches long, a hollow wooden tube with ridges cut into its outer surface. I slid a wooden stick across the ridges to produce a sound like a small washboard (I used it in Cajun music).

I've found carved wooden toads and crickets but their sound isn't as much like a washboard.

Thoughts?
