Hi - The YouTube video is mine. My upload, that is. This song has intrigued me since 1966 when it was released, and I'm not a WN fan. The song is obviously a war song, but I'm afraid I don't know its history. In fact, trying to learn its history is what led me to this thread. I've spent over 45 years trying to learn more about it, and I've never found any other recording of it (including an Eddy Arnold version).
