How would a "railroad navvy" be walking around with what you call a "hog eye"? Can you explain the line A hog-eye mate and a hog-eye crew and a hog-eye for the skipper too? Don't think it was pretty cabin boy syndrome in this case. I think male anatomy is more likely.

At any rate, the hog-eye question was discussed in a previous thread, and I'm really more interested in the verses. Thank you George, you've given me an idea. I always suspected it wasn't the hair from her head hanging down to her knees!

I just don't think that's so dirty it needs to be censored, but then I've got a keen imagination...
