I've got a mahogany Vintage v300mh...I'm guessing the one you're talking about is the spruce version which I've never tried.

I'm very happy with mine...a friend had bought one for about £120 a few years back after it won some guitar magazine accolade (best guitar under £1000 or something). I was very impressed with the mellow tone and kept my eyes open. Last year I managed to snag one on ebay for about £60 (which I admit was a complete steal).

I think they do a larger version of the same thing (v400) but I prefer the size of this one. It makes it ideal for playing where space is tight (eg pub sessions). I think it's great value for money and plays more like an instrument in the £300 price range. The finishing is good...only slight downside for me is the frets seem quite chunky but that's probably just personal preference (I'm more aware of them under my fingers as I slide up and down the neck)
