Thread Name: Lyr Req: Over the Silent Sea
Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Over the Silent Sea
Loy E. Foust was author of the song "Over the Silent Sea". In 1935 it was published by the Hartford Music Company in their annual convention book, CHARMING MELODIES.

Verse 1: I have a mansion over yonder I know,
          where chilling winds never blow,
          but sweetest flowers ever grow;,
         That's where you'll find me when I've finished here below
         For I'll move over the Silent Sea.

Chorus: Safely I'll ride across the waters so wide,
         For when Jesus died,
         His precious blood bridged the tide;
         There with the saved I shall forever abide,
         (Hallelujah), over the silent sea.

Verse 2 There I shall meet the blessed prophets of old,
            walk the streets of pure gold,
            with them in Heaven, I'm told,
          Where there's no sickness, neither hunger nor cold,
          No dying over the silent sea.

(Repeat Chorus)

Verse 3 Soon I shall bid my friends and loved ones goodbye,
          It is then I shall fly
          with angels up to the sky;
          There I shall join a host of singers on high,
          Over the silent sea

(Repeat Chorus)
