The Crofters are still going. It's quite possible theirs was the first folk club I ever went to, in a pub by the river on Chesterton Road, when a friend dragged me along there.

They still play as a dance band, and run a singaround session on first Tuesdays at the Boot in Histon. Dave Benford must be as old as you are...
