Subject: RE: Amy Geddes Workshop, Strachur 20 April
There are still places available on this workshop, so you can turn up on the day -- but it would be great if you could tell us in advance (so Amy knows your playing ability / instrument etc)

Travel to Strachur:
by road from Glasgow is 59 miles (allow an hour and a half) via A82 to Tarbet then A815 to Strachur on the shores of Loch Fyne.

OR by M8 then A8 to McInroy's Point (2 miles beyond Gourock), Western Ferries to Dunoon then A815 to Strachur. Distance is shorter but allow a god hour and three quarters - - and remember to buy your ferry return ticket in the wee shop on left hand side shortly before Gourcok Library and Gourock Station -- it is beside a small Co-op and it displays the red arrow Wstern Ferries logo (tckets half the price of paying on board)

by public transport -- 07.20 (check time!) train from Glasgow Central to Gourock, Argyll Ferries (passenger only) to Dunoon, West Coast Motors bus to Inveraray - - Strachur is about half way there! Connection times are tight so be first off the ferry -- and you MUST check Argyll Ferries website for service status as it is not always a reliable service --!
