I guess another alternative would be:

Tell you bout how Jonah make his mind to go 'way
The mariners wanna know "Did Niniveh fall?"
When the perfidy left without a slow sail
When out on the ocean blew a terrible gale; etc.

With biblical references, which is possible, it all sounds too pidgin for my tastes. However, bearing this in mind, I think I'm sticking with the fish-list.
