I have an electric rototiller -- small, but enough for my simple needs and wants. It will turn over forty or so acres with relative ease if I guide it along and that is sufficient to supply my larder. Some salsify, potatoes, rotenkraut, avocados, heritage tomatoes, wild strawberries transplanted from a mountain meadow, an acre or so of huckleberries, some turnips and beets, a few carrots, quinoa, spelt, barley, lentils, spelt, dewberries, and perhaps some black raspberries.
