I think most people will share complex recipes here, so I have a simple one. It's to take to a potluck.

Buy frozen sweet corn
Cook it on the stove in a big pot

Just before going to the potluck, transfer the corn to a slow cooker, which is still cool for safe carrying

Put real butter and some black pepper on it
Tape the lid of the slow cooker or tie some elastic over it so it stays put while travelling

Go to the potluck, plug the slow cooker in and turn it on high or low, based on your judgment

You will be amazed at the way the corn disappears. Much faster than the usual raw brocolli, I can promise you that.
