My friend Paul is mentally retarded. He can't talk, but he's very demonstrative; and he gets his ideas across despite his inability to speak intelligibly - he makes lots of sounds, some very graphic.

And Paul loves to shake hands - usually with his left one. If the opportunity arises, he'll shake hands with the same person every five minutes. I think shaking hands is a very nice thing, especially with somebody like Paul who puts a lot of heart in it. Who am I to question what hand a person uses?
