I'm trying to help a friend find a comic song by this description she gave me: "'when I was a young girl' that starts out primping for nice young men , takes the singer through marriage and widowhood, and takes her full circle to Merry Widow, still primping for nice young men."

Nothing comes immediately to mind for me, and if I search "when I was a young girl" I get The Unfortunate Maid, which I'm sure isn't what she had in mind. I've also found the standard songs about "why did I ever get married" but nothing matching this description.

Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!
