Without seeing an actual, dateable, setting with all three stanzas we can't be sure of the age of the full song ... but it seems bloody unlikely that it started off with only the one stanza! (That, especially, when we are told that the Ambonese learned the tune from the Australian prisoners working on the roads around Kudmati ... nobody sings one stanza all day ... and stays sane!)

I'll chase that up when my home computer comes back home from the repair shop!
