Thread Name: Lyr Req: Poor Lonely Widow (Bob Copper)
Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Song about marriage/widowhood
Sounds as though it's probably The Poor Lonely Widow - I originally found it in Bob Copper's book, Songs and Southern Breezes. "I can dance, I can sing, I'm as good now as ever, fond of me whisky and good in a row; Just forty five, both witty and clever, and I wonder if anyone will marry me now..."
Haven't time to post more at the moment, but will later if no one else has got there first!
