There is another caravan site in Kelsall, Northwood Hall not sure how much they charge for tents (if that's what you have). At the top of the village is a pub the Farmers Arms. They have recently reopened under new management, but in the past I've seen campervans on their car park. The festival campsites are based round the Lord Binning (Morris Dancer), down at the other end of the village, and since they are free the cost of a season ticket compares well with a commercial caravan site.

The workshops and sessions at Chester Festival are free.
