Steve was a schoolboy at Cheadle Hulme School when I first met him. He used to come to song sessions even then.
He worked so hard at his singing and it was a shame he bowed out of the music scene so early. He did some programmes with Harry on the BBC many years ago - I think you have copies of most of them.
