Dorothy, a small electric weed whacker would have taken care of that grass instead of trimming with scissors, but an old push mower is great. I have one I pull out for small jobs - it is a workout! I may have to use my electric trimmer today - I can't get the head off of the gas one, it's jammed on. I'll sort it out, but I need to trim now, not struggle with a trimmer cap for a while first.

This morning I looked at the tea and eating stuff on my otherwise clear peninsula counter and decided to putter while the kettle heated. I have a silver-plate tray that my general items on (a crystal thing to hold a few tea bags, a tiny saucer to hold my tea strainer, my stevia container, a couple of baby silver spoons for stevia and measuring loose tea, and a salt and pepper shaker.) I used silver polish to clean, washed the sparkling crystal tea holder, cleaned the brushed steel pepper mill, washed the glass salt shaker - you get the drift - and now that little center of activity sparkles. I usually ignore that stuff, but now it looks decorative. While I was at it I cleaned and polished the shiny steel hot water kettle and polished the toaster. Not quite an exhibit in the Brooklyn Museum, but my counter top stuff is once again in its like-new polished artistic state.

I have to mow, then make a run to the recycle bins down at city hall. I need to rework my recycle setup - when I took that computer desk to Goodwill I got rid of the thing I tucked my glass and plastic bag under. I'll need to find a new place for a smaller container.
