First heard in 1957 as a college fraternity pledge class skit:

First time through it is Introduced as a song for learning simple guitar chords:

I saw her grab...her satchel from the doorway,
I held her just.... a moment in the rain.
I kissed her when ... we went down to the station
To see her brother Jack leave ...on the train.

But then I got a little flustered as I played it for the Faculty Wives' Club
And it came out like this:

I saw her snatch... her satchel from the doorway;
I held her butt ...a moment in the rain.
I kissed her ass... we went down to the station
To see her brother Jack off ... on the train.

I was never invited back by the Faculty Wives!
