It's not officially summer but it is warming up, and this is the time of year when I have to get up earlier if I want to work in the yard before it's too hot. I'm making the shift this week with my alarms (the one that is a few feet away from the bed and is set so it snoozes, and my phone alarm that is in fact rather alarming when it goes off - the one that I'll start waking up ahead of because I dislike it so!)

The scale says I'm down another couple of pounds, now in the lower half of the 10 pound segment I'm working on now - I was on a plateau for a couple of weeks but seem to have gotten past it. I'll mow the back yard tonight, a great form of exercise that seems to give the best weight-loss result.

I've enjoyed weeding out clothes from the closet - but I see that some of the casual clothes I used to wear for work that I can fit into now aren't dressy enough for the current dress code. I'll keep some and donate others. I'm looking forward to updating my wardrobe when I reach my target weight, but I may need a trip to the thrift store for intermediate dressy slacks (I don't want to buy new pants I won't wear long.)

I've seen several gardening references by some of us on facebook - are we all finally at a point where we are in some stage of growing crops?
