Leeneia, le musette is the name of the genre, not of an instrument typical for it (la musette). More precisely, we hear a valse-musette, differing in timing from other types of waltz. The accordion seems to be essential; melody instruments, if any, can vary.

In the Verchuren recording, I guess we hear la musette alright, also called cabrette. Intonation is a hazard, but in a different manner from a kazoo.
