I've traveled to many other countries and I have seen more than a few Brits acting like assholes. Fortunately, I have also traveled extensively in the UK and I know that those assholes are not representative of the breed. Leadfingers is a good example of the English regular guy. There are many more but space is limited here.

As far as the gun thing goes, you must know that started with ENGLAND running roughshod over the American colonists! Of course it has gotten out of hand, but old habits die hard.If you had a 2nd amendment you can bet your ass most Brits would own a gun too.
The love of money is the root of all evil, and our health care system is a damn good example. We are also disgusted with it, and with the fact that so many assholes want to own a "Street sweeper".
Yes, we have our flaws, but name a country that doesn't.
