Gallup has always had a conservative slant.   Polling always depends on who is polled--and the wording of the questions.

You can always pick out a low point in an administration.    Lots of folks on the Left are bitterly disappointed that Obama, as they see it, has not stood up for what he believes--and what they voted for. And obviously there are lots on the Right who never did support him--including but not limited to racists (contrary to the fondly held views of some Mudcatters, many people oppose him while still not being racists.)

But it's absurd to place any value on a snapshot--which is what one poll is.

It's premature for the Left--or anybody-- to write Obama off as a do-nothing.    He already has done a lot to change the US health system, among other things.   And there are plans for more--for instance it seems clear to me that he will in fact get a meaningful immigration overhaul through--probably by the end of this year. Partly since, as I've noted before, enough sensible folks in the GOP realize that the alternative is political oblivion for the GOP. But Obama, rightfully, will get the credit. And his polls will be up again.

I think his polls would also rise if he would take a strong stand against the northern part of the pipeline.   Let's see if this happens.
