A family was sitting around of an evening watching a DVD of Shakespeare's MacBeth on their television set.

When the play got to the part where Lady MacBeth is unsuccessfully attempting to wash the blood off her hands and cries out, "Out, damned spot! Out, I say!" the family's Dalmatian, who had been lying in front of the TV set, got up, looked guiltily at the screen, then went down into the basement.
