I've only just heard and I'm really saddened to learn of the passing of Dave Shannon. I first met him when he and Sam Bracken played at the Farnborough Folk Club, in the very early 70's, and thought him a thoroughly nice person and a great musician. It was at Farnborough that Dave and Sam met the very young Fiona Simpson who was a resident at the club back then.
My thoughts are with his family.
