I last posted on this thread 8 years ago. I still have the FG335 I bought in January 1979 with my girlfriends tax rebate. I have had it fettled since I last posted, got the action lowered a tad and I am still amazed at the quality of the sound. If anything it gets better as the years go by. I don't often play it these days but on the rare occasions I do I love the rich timbre it produces. If you want a good quality Guitar for next to nothing keep your eyes open for an old Yamaha FG335 or it's predecessor the FG180.
