A week ago, our faithful desktop, with its Windows XP, seemed to have bought the farm. We had been talking idly of getting the DH a laptop of his own, so we did. For days now, we have been slogging through the bad dream that is Windows 8.

Can anybody help, really help, with just one problem? The thread titles on the Mudcat forum page have changed in color from royal blue to a pale aqua. It's hard to read. I have tried the obvious ways of making this page darker - Settings, Control Panel, Accessibility.

Any suggestions?

Don't bother telling me I am the wrong generation. That's not an answer, that's an alibi.
