But what is old? Depends. I have two sisters, 89 and 87; the 89-year-old isn't ready to call herself old yet. The 87-year-old has been embracing the concept since she was 70. One of my surviving brothers is 88 (yeah, big family and close together) and says age doesn't matter to him. He's still grinding rock ore to isolate gold particles which, he fondly hopes, will pay off 'down the road'.

Me? I'm almost 78. It continually amazes me. Until I realize that losing so many of my peers is inevitable at my age...
