My post was not meant to offend!! The reports I saw did not mention Mr. Perry by name. I would have thought they would have, and I think it a reporting faux pas. I, of course, am too young to have been aware of his playing days, his Wimbledon crown being prenatal for me. But I do know of him. Was he involved as a non-player coach or captain later on?

I first started to really follow Tennis when I was in high school, the days of the Aussies Hoad and Rosewall. When I stopped playing the game on weekends, about 25 years ago, I lost much of my interest in the sport. Except for the sisters Williams, I don't even know the names of active USAns in tennis.
