Continuing to unpack and hand over a job I've done for 16 years. It's a bit of a roller-coaster on many levels. Now that the time is here I want to be finished with it, but I need to do it in an orderly fashion. The trouble with not having a title or job description all of these years means one must manufacture the gravitas in order to get people to work with me on my schedule for this handoff, and not just when it is convenient for them.

Don't worry if you don't understand that paragraph. I don't know if anyone other than me will understand it for a while. I learned these things gradually over time and as technology evolved. These five people who are replacing me are being handed the whole thing with all of its components.

Off to another day at the office. And I will try to not put in another evening of unpaid overtime. . .
