I'm trying to see if there has been any discussion in the forum about the resemblance between the tune Wayfaring Stranger and the melody for "Dear Companion" that was published in Olive Dame Campbell and Cecil J. Sharp, English Folksongs from the Southern Appalachians Song #58 (1917). First I want to verify whether the MIDI in the DT has the same melody as in Campbell & Sharp (1917). Snuffy's technique gets me through to the lyrics (thanks!), but unfortunately I still can't access the MIDI. Maybe one of the mirror sites has one ?
