It is a huge amount of work to prepare for a garage/yard sale. Given the right weather and the critical mass of other garage sales in the neighborhood to bring in more people, they can really pay off. The trick is to load up the rest and take it to Goodwill or Salvation Army before you change your mind about any of the stuff. I usually find that once it has gone out to the garage and been in a sale I don't want it back in the house.

I'd love to see that house and that mill you talk about, Dorothy. And that cabin you moved out of. They sound very interesting.

Today I moved my stuff out of the temporary office we used all summer while the sixth floor of the library was renovated. When the reorganization of the entire staff happened my destination at the end of the work is not back upstairs. I'm going to be in the basement now, and next Monday I have to pack up things that were left in shelving in my old sixth floor office.

A friend is coming over for lunch tomorrow, so I've done some picking up in the kitchen and dining area and swept everywhere and cleaned the hall bathroom. He's not getting any further into the house than that hall bathroom. ;-)

We had a rain storm today, it hit hard but moved over fast - I was driving in it. I don't think it hit my house, but it has been very humid. Whatever moisture there was will make finishing the weeding easier tomorrow. Then to spread mulch over the fall garden and finish the work by painting it white with kaolin clay (Surround WP) again to repel grasshoppers.
