At a time like this it is a good thing to reflect on the marvelous gift of himself that Max has given us with Mudcat. The opportunities it has provided me, the scholarship, the friendships, and even the verbal slugfests, they have all enriched my life beyond description. We used to refer to Mudcat as a village. In those days that was a good description. As Max deals with this "bump in the road" let all of us that consider this village of ours be as supportive and loving as possible. He has sacrificed much over the years to keep it going. He knew it was a lifeline for many.

Get well, buddy. We need you.
