Ah well...that's exactly how a lot of the people in our generation felt, isn't it? They figured that anyone over 30 was irrelevant...a hilariously dippy notion to have about humanity, but it was normal at the time to be both arrogant and at the same time defensive (in the manner of noble martyrdom) about one's own youthfullness.

I could blush to think of just how arrogant we were at the time....but (shrug) I can forgive it too. It was understandable, given the various forces that were in play.
